Gen-Z Revolution of Nepal

Online Poster Design2025

These posters were made in the immediate aftermath of Nepal's Gen Z uprising of September 2025, shared on social media as the protests were still unfolding. Across two days of protest on September 8 and 9, and the unrest that followed, 77 people were killed and more than 2,000 were injured — the majority of them young people. Security forces fired into crowds at head level, striking protesters, bystanders, and journalists in the head, neck, and chest, making it the deadliest single episode of state violence against civilians in Nepal's post-1990 democratic era.

The three posters each take a different angle on the same rage. The first frames the uprising as a direct confrontation, Gen Z against the generation of leaders that failed them, reducing the three politicians to identical anonymous figures with a single line underneath: "Their end is near." The second is the most visceral: a blood-soaked sneaker overlaid with vertical bars, its text reading "Luxury for them. Blood for you." The third strips everything back to typography, using the word TREND to spell out END twice over, with a single demand beneath it: End Corruption.

These were not client work. They were made at speed, out of grief and anger, because design was the only tool available.
